Welcome to Class 3
Welcome to Class 3, where learning, laughter and friendship go hand in hand!
Mrs Goddard and Mrs Chivers are delighted to teach our Year 3/4 class, where we pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment in which every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to be the very best they can be. We are a close-knit class and very much a family, where children are encouraged to care for one another, celebrate each other's successes and grow in confidence.
Our mornings are full of purposeful and exciting learning. We develop our mathematical understanding through the White Rose Maths programme, enjoy exploring a wide range of books during guided reading, and work hard to develop our writing, grammar, spelling and vocabulary skills. We encourage children to be curious, independent learners who are not afraid to ask questions, make mistakes and have a go.
Throughout the year, our learning extends across a broad and engaging curriculum. We explore the past through History, investigate the world around us through Geography and Science, and develop our understanding of faith and beliefs through R.E. We also enjoy Computing, P.E., Music, Spanish, PSHE, Art and D&T, giving every child opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents and learn new skills.
Above all, we want every child in Class 3 to be happy, confident and excited about learning. We aim to nurture a genuine love of learning (loving to learn; learning with love) while building the knowledge, skills, resilience and independence that children need as they continue their educational journey.
We look forward to working in partnership with our families and making Class 3 a happy, inspiring and memorable place for every child.
